Western brands gear up for China's QiXi Festival this August
Sometimes known as "China's Valentine's Day", the QiXi Festival has rapidly grown to be a key opportunity for Western brands to engage with Chinese consumers in a Chinese cultural context. With economies across the world reeling from the impact of COVID19, the 25 August 2020 festival is perfectly timed to help international companies regain sales in the Chinese market.
Celebrating the mythical love between a goddess and cowherd, who can only meet once a year in the heavens, the festival has seen brands ranging from Godiva Chocolatier to Budweiser launch unique social media campaigns to target China's growing urban middle class.

With the festival now just three months away, CCS is working with clients to create QiXi campaigns with a twist, that engage Chinese consumers through a purely Chinese celebration.
